UPPER & LOWER EXREMITY

Are you a healthcare provider looking for a hands-on training course on ultrasound injections for treatments like platelet-rich plasma?

Look no further than R3 Medical Training, where we help practitioners learn skills and techniques on real people before treating their patients with administrations like interventional pain management injections.

We offer two MSK ultrasound courses, upper extremity and lower extremity. We also offer two locations: one MSK ultrasound course in Arizona and one MSK ultrasound training in Tennessee.

Choose from upper or lower extremity tracks, available in Tennessee, Arizona, Beverly Hills and Orlando.

What you'll be able to do

By the end of the Upper Extremity Ultrasound Injection course, participants will be able to:

Gain an understanding of the principles of ultrasound physics, as well as fluency in utilizing the instrumentation and imaging techniques relevant to MSK ultrasounds.

Identify both normal and Upper Extremity pathological anatomy of the knee, shoulder, and hip joints through the use of ultrasound imaging.

Perform MSK ultrasounds and administer extremity nonspinal injection treatments, like platelet-rich plasma therapy, for common musculoskeletal conditions.

Implement best practices in safety and patient care during MSK ultrasounds and interventional pain management injections.

⸺ UPPER COURSE AGENDA

Upper Extremity Course, Start to Finish.

Registration & breakfast
— the course begins with registration, followed by the start of the day's sessions.
Introduction to ultrasound technology
— participants learn about the history of ultrasound technology and the use of MSK joint extremity non-spinal ultrasounds.
Ultrasound physics & anatomy
— gain an understanding of ultrasound physics and pathological anatomy of the knee, shoulder, and hip joints.
Hands-on administration
— perform MSK ultrasounds and administer extremity nonspinal injection treatments, like platelet-rich plasma therapy.
Safety & patient care
— review best practices in safety and patient care during ultrasounds and interventional pain management injections.

⸺ LOWER COURSE AGENDA

MSK Lower Extremity Course Agenda

Like the Upper Extremity course, this course begins with registration and breakfast, which is an opportunity to network with other participants.

The segments covered include the following:

Review of Anatomy

  • Hip anatomy
  • Knee anatomy
  • Foot/Ankle anatomy

Each of these sections allows participants to learn relevant anatomical structures of each body part visible on ultrasound, as well as how to administer interventional pain injections to each area.

Ultrasound Evaluation

During ultrasound evaluation, participants gain an understanding of what a normal ultrasound of each body part should look like, as well as how to perform a standardized review of each joint and its important anatomical structures, like nerves and ligaments.

Ultrasound Evaluation of Anatomical Pathology

After learning about normal anatomy, participants learn about pathological evaluations of these joints in order to assess damage and measure and diagnose pathology.

Hands-On Scanning

The final portion is hands-on training, where participants receive dynamic experience performing diagnostic and interventional ultrasound techniques. Participants will have an opportunity to perform extremity nonspinal injections, as well as interventional pain management injections.

Also, each participant receives a procedure as well!

Once a group of ultrasound basics and MSK ultrasound technology is achieved, the course transitions through explorations of the shoulder, elbow, and wrist/hand, including:

  • Review of shoulder, elbow, wrist/hand anatomy
  • Ultrasound evaluation of the shoulder, elbow, wrist/hand
  • Hands-on scanning: shoulder, elbow, wrist/hand

In addition, a comprehensive presentation on Regenerative Biologics is included to get you up to date on dialogue options for patient treatment. Learn more about this CME accredited course by calling 888-998-6343.

DAY TWO · 8 HRS CME

Lower Extremity MSK Ultrasound Guided Injection Training

This course builds on the ultrasound fundamentals while adding additional training on joint evaluations to practice on optimal patient outcomes, covering:

  • Hip
  • Knee
  • Foot/ankle

By the end of this hands-on training, participants will be able to integrate these lower extremity ultrasound techniques into their clinical practice to optimize patient outcomes.

In addition, you will also receive presentations on PRP therapy basics and a Spotlight Talk on Hip and Knee Pain Treatment with Regenerative Biologics. Learn more about this CME accredited course by calling 888-998-6343.
